More Budgeting & Saving tips to make your dreams come true

Remember most Tickets for activities can be purchased online and at least 6 to 12 months ahead.

So you can purchase early and gradually so that when your holiday  comes you know all is paid for.

You can also pay your accommodation early and paying early and online sometimes gives you a discount so will save a little money also.

I recommend keeping a folder so you can print out maps if you need too and you print out your tickets etc and add them to your folder so you know where they all are also add any other travel info you may need.

I also think it is a good idea to have emergency numbers on hand which is 000 in Australia. Perhaps have next of kin or family member number, hospital number and address , taxi and maybe even information Centre just in case you need any of them.

Another great tip is - Make your own lunch or meals when ever you can as this will save you alot of money.

If traveling in car especially with children make a picnic lunch and bring own drinks in esky or cooler bag.

Purchasing food and drinks can be pricey especially at service stations.

If using own car make sure you book in for a service before you go and check your tyres.

Always carry water, coolant and oil in boot of car also a torch, jack and i would also recommend a first aid kit.

Another great idea is - Im not sure about you but at christmas and birthdays it can be hard to know what to buy as a gift so maybe suggest things like vouchers/gift cards. You can purchase Flight centre gift cards, Jetstar, Fuel Voucher, Big4 vouchers etc!

Also as I have mentioned before tickets can be purchased online early so they could purchase tickets to an activity you want to do on your holiday.
