Tips
Ok So you probably already read about how to pack for your trip but i still have some other tips to help you on your way.

If you are intending to fly i recommend finding a flight as soon as you can as flight prices do change and certainly can get higher the closer to the date.

Be flexible with your dates if you can.
Also depending on what time you would prefer to travel the early morning flights and evening flights are usually cheaper.

Car rentals

Keep in mind how many of you are traveling and do you really need that big 4 x 4 for 2 people to have a relaxing holiday or could you go with a small compact car.
Obviously the smaller car the cheaper.
Also most car rental companies to want a bond so please check this when booking and do require a credit card.

Some places are happy to accept Debit cards but i recommend checking with them first.
Also fill up the car with fuel before returning as if car rental company fills up it actually cost a lot more.

I would also recommend not renting from airport if possible because these can be more expensive but do your research before you book.

Travel insurance

The best way to buy travel insurance is when you book the holiday, that way if you need to cancel before you head off, you know you will be covered.
IsTravel Insurance Worth the Cost? Determining whether travel insurance is worth the cost or not comes down to how much you stand to lose on a trip – either from a cancellation, a travel delay, a trip interruption or a medical emergency while on your trip.

I recommend again doing your research on the best priced travel insurance and make sure it covers what you want it too.

Family Travel

Travelling with family is one of the most uniquely rewarding experiences in life. In turn, when things start going wrong, it can be enormously stressful if you are not prepared.
Make a list so you will not forget anything and i always recommend taking extras such as extra nappies, underwear etc
If driving take first aid kit for those little or in worst cases big accidents.

If flying and travelling overseas keep all your passports together do not let the kids hold their's as we all know how that could end.

It is good to keep fluids up when travelling but i would suggest a limit with children and plan around service stations when driving and also pack some snacks or even some lunch to make it cheaper again for your time away.

Take as many photos as you can as memories are precious and children grow so fast you want to remember this time Even it it means bring an extra memory card.

It really doesn’t matter how much you love your significant other, how much you enjoy spending every day with him or her, or how important it is to you that you experience things together. It is absolutely necessary to make time for yourself while you’re traveling with your significant other even if it is just for a massage.
There’s never a bad moment to stop and have fun with each other. Be a child and have a leaf fight, splash in the ocean and go on the rides Always remember that we get old because we stop playing; not the other way around.
Life is too short.
